Never really cared for the argyle pattern, but thought I'd give it a try on my nails this week.
I began with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails with Nylon Simply Strawberry on my left hand with Misslyn some light lilac colour on my accent nail. Then applied the darker colours: 60 Seconds by Rimmel 808 Shocker and essence colour & go 28 Break Through.
On my right hand I started with Misslyn 850 a light sky blue and Paris 355 a light green and then applied the darker colours of kozmic colours some blue I got at a dollar store and on the accent 60 seconds by Rimmel 830 Camouflage.
Once both colours had dried I used my nail striper from Quo by Orly White and added the final lines. Full design found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzKMQ-PrYxM

Miss Adelinne nails
I fell in love with this nail art and now I've given it a try in white and sparkles. I don't have any metallic tape, but I do have a silver striper. I realize now why she has the full opaque colour on the tip of her nail. It's so that you dont see the white of the tips and it's all one uniform colour. Ah well, mine still looks good. I would really like to give these colours a try with a base of the sparkles and then do a V-tip with the white and stripe it in the silver like I did for the burgandy V tip with gold from around Christmas time.
I put tape over the tip of my nail in a diagonal and painted my nails white with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails French White Tip from a french manicure set. Then I painted the tip of my nail with sparkles from Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 180 Disco Ball (I decided not to paint over the white with the sparkles since I've been having difficulty getting the sparkles off with acetone) and finally stiped down the middle of the two with the silver QUO by ORLY 59703 Platinum Glitter to hide any inperfections with the white (which there weren't many to my delight).

Robin Moses paws and rainbows
Robin Moses asked us to do an old pattern of hers and I thought I'd give my acrylic paints a good run with the rainbow colours. I just had a friend buy me some brushes on ebay so I'll have a striping brush next time I do a design like this as I found the rainbow took up a lot of my nail whereas on her design is was very little of the nail. C'est la vie.

I began with a french tip of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails French White Tip from a french manicure set I picked up. Then I brought out the acrylic paints and made my rainbow. I should have overlapped a bit more if I wanted to match Robin's but I like mine the way it is. After it dried (okay the next day) I put the doggie paws on my nails and top coated as it was really starting to chip on the ends. I photo shopped my picture a bit to cover the missing bits to my nail as well as cover over some hang nails I've been picking at. I blame it on stress.

Fingerprint nails
I painted my nails 2 coats of wet n wild Wild Shine 449C and then went onto Google and looked up some fingerprint patterns and tried to capture a few of the various designs using my Sally Hansen black nail art pen. They turned out better than I was expecting. Oh right, now that I posted the pictures I tried it on my ring finger first to see how I made out on the design before trying more. As you can see, I thought it went well and kept going. Also, the nail art pens don't like painting on skin. I tried to rub it off right away and just smudged it into my skin. I left all other spots alone.
Newspaper nails
I painted my nails 2 coats of wet n wild Wild Shine 449C (incidentally this is a really good white that covers very well) and then cut up some fresh newspaper into manageable pieces. Once cut up and deciding what nails will have what paper I dipped the small square into some rubbing alcohol to wet the print and then placed it on my nail and pressed down for about 15 seconds trying not to smear it. Well, the thumb turned out the best which was the last finger I worked on and thus the nicer of my nails.

Gold and Silver Matte Dots
I saw an absolutely beautiful picture of a pattern with a matte polish. I couldn't decide what colours I wanted to do it in so chose some metallics. I didn't really come close to the original design, but it's okay. I painted my nails with the silver Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Pumping Iron 850 and then sponged on Billie Cosmetics Gold. I then covered the two colours with Essie matte about you. I had re-used the same colours to put over top of the matte but they just didn't pop enough for me so I got out my stripers and used them to add extra glitters: Quo by ORLY Glittering Gold 59704 and Quo by ORLY Platinum Glitter 59703.
