Giant pandas have come to stay at the Toronto Zoo for a few years and I thought it would be nice to have them on my nails too. I created the curve of the panda's head using Quo by Orly white striper and then filled in the rest with Wet n wild Wild Shine French White Cream 449C. Then I added the ears, black eye bits and nose using a bobby pin and finally added tiny little white eyes with my white striper. When I showed Chris his response was "awwwwww". I think he likes them.

Easter Egg Dots
I don't actually do many dots in my nail art so I thought I'd keep it simple (still not really feeling the nail art vibe) and did some polka dot nails in some pastel colours. I used OPI Royal Flush Blush NL V08, Hard & Healthy French Manicure from PROfessional Solutions (from a french manicure set), Misslyn light blue 850 essence colour & go wanna be your sunshine 95 and Misslyn light green 873. Then I alternated the colours by one nail and created the dots by using the long end of a bobby pin (not very easy to handle, but it got the job done for no cost of tools).

Silver Starburst on Black
With doing a black and silver design on my main hand I thought I would look through my images of designs I haven't tried yet and found this one. Base of Wet n Wild Wild Shine Black Crème 424A and then used my Quo by Roly striper in Platinum Glitter for the starburst. I like them all except my heavy handed ring finger. :-)
Evanora from OZ
I watched OZ the Great and Powerful yesterday and noticed one of the evil witches had a pretty nail art design and planned to recreate it this weekend. Well cutepolish beat me to it as well as few others so I recreated the cutepolish one as I liked it best. The sparkly green I saw (strangely enough done with OPI Emerald Green - part of the OZ collection) was cool, but I didn't have a nice enough green for it, in my opinion. Also it enabled me to do my other hand in a black and silver design also.
I began by taping my nails down and then applying two coats of Wet n Wild Wild Shine Black Crème 424A. Then I did over the edges with my Quo by Orly striper in black and completed the design with Quo by Orly Platinum Glitter. All in all I like the design, although I need to learn to be a bit more light handed with my stripers. Also cutepolish's idea of applying a nude colour first would have helped with covering over my white/pink line of my nails.
Here is cutepolish's design: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCch2-j21aw I'd add her picture to mine but it hasn't been posted yet.
Okay enough babbling, here are the pictures:

Robin Moses' Rainbow in the Dark
I began with a black polish with a little tiny bit of glitter in it then used my acrylic paints to create the rainbow. I unfortunately make very thick lines so I ended up painting the next colour over the one before it to reduce space. I did a pretty good job on the purple (the last colour) to try not to take up too much space. Now that I have it beside Robin Moses' original, I remember I did it up side down. I also added a bit of sparkle to the rainbow with Sally Hansen Xtreme wear 180 Disco Ball

Robin Moses' Lucky Charms
I did my base coat in a no name yellowy green and then used my acrylic paints to make some lucky charms on my nails. The original from Robin Moses has Lucky and his hand throwing the charms but I'm not that talented yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uv24Vw1g3QY
