Black with Glitter Ombre
Still keeping my nails relatively normal looking while I head into my 3rd and final week of training. I have done a similar design using red and gold to match Effie Trinket's nails in The Hunger Games. This time I used Wet n Wild 456D (I think it might be called Attack on the Hudson) for my base and then added small to large applications of Revlon 340 Stunning. My first coat was like a french tip, then I doubled the length of my stroke and added another stroke on top of those a bit higher up the nail causing this ombre effect. It will go nicely with a top I have that's all black with sparkles around the collar. If I think of it I'll add another picture to show the nails with the shirt. Here are the pictures I have so far. Gold with Black French Tip
Wanting to look professional for my new job but still have something different on my nails brought me to this beautiful french manicure. My base is my very first chrome polish when they first started coming out from Sally Hansen Gold Chrome and ending with tips from Wet n Wild Black Creme. I did have a bit of difficulty getting the french tip to line up well so I used my black striper to set the guideline.

Valentine Hearts
I started off with Sally Hansen Hard as Nails French White Tip and then used a variety of colours to make hearts on my right hand outlined with black acrylic paint. On my left hand I did the black outline first, filled in the sections with various paints and went over in black paint again. I really need to learn to paint with the paint on the brush and not the brush itself so my lines are thinner. It'll come.

Robin Moses inspired game of Tic Tac Toe
I have wanted to do chalkboard nails for a while and finally got my chance today. I began with a black polish (instead of using green) from Love My Nails Black Rage 588 (and the bottle resembles my finished product which made me smile). Then I used white acrylic paint and really tried to make thin, thin lines but they are very difficult to do with my current brush. So I just ended up doing only the hearts and no x's to win each game. Love always wins right? Afterwards I used my matte top coat to give it the blackboard look (it removes the shine from the polish; just don't top coat afterwards or it will bring back the shine).

Scrabble nails (A Robin Moses design)
I couldn't find the proper tile colour, my tan was too dark so I used a light pink I got from Gen Con last year at the nail art class I took. It's such a cute little bottle!! I even found the colour from the code on the bottom Sweet Heart NL S96. After that it was just a matter of using my black acrylic paint to spell LOVER. I sort of feel like I'm playing scrabble because of the R on my thumb. It looks fine with LOVE, then I add the R to make a longer work. I'm very happy with the results, too bad it's not worth many points in the game :-)
