Yes, that's right I gave my polishes away to a friend so she can do a bunch of 13 year old girls' nails for her daughter's birthday. I would have LOVED to do them myself but I have to work tomorrow. I hope it goes really well for her. I just did my accent nail with a sticker - which I still have difficulty placing on my nail without getting lumps.... Other nails are painted with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Celeb City.

Saint Patrick's Day
Again sticking with fairly simple designs although I feel the need to spruce things up now that I am getting the hang of my job. I just find my job very draining and I sleep much more than I used to. Hopefully the energy levels will return and I'll feel up to doing more intricate designs soon.
I began with a very light green that's so old it doesn't have any legible writing on it any more and then did a french tip with Revlon Top Speed 330 Emerald and then created the gold line between the two colours using Quo by Orly Glittering Gold striping brush. I also felt they needed a bit more so I added a little green flower stone to my ring finger from a wheel given me by my mom for Christmas. Looking very cute.

Dominican Nails
My Aunt Sharon is going away to the Dominican for a vacation she has been anticipating for over a year so I did her nails up real pretty to match her new outfits in bright colours (pink and orange) which I bought at The Dollar Store. Strangely these are the brightest of the fluorescents that I have in my stash. I think I need to buy more polish as they are tiny bottles. I painted them all pink then dry brushed the orange on top. I then used black acrylic paints to add the palm trees. Wishing her a wonderful trip away from this never ending Canadian winter.

New purple and blue shirt
So I bought a new shirt over the weekend as I really liked the colours and pattern. Earlier this week I painted my nails with a Dollarama blue from kozmic colours and tonight I've finally (I've been so slow with my nail art lately) added the purple: Rimmel 60 Seconds 615 Night Before splotches with a make up sponge. Lastly I added the finishing touch with black acrylic paint for the paisley type design. Looking at the finished result I think my blue should have been lighter as the design on my ring finger is really not coming through at all. Here is the finished product regardless of it's issues.

White flowers on blue background
I began with Wet n Wild 415A Denim Chrome and then used my white acrylic paint and my new dotting tool from my mom to make the flowers. I followed a pattern (who I don't know who to credit) for the ring finger but just did little flowers for the other fingers. Once the paint dried I added some middles to the flowers using my Revlon 860 Metallic which is my favourite silver polish. I think I might have dome something similar to these before but I wanted to try out my new dotting tool. I also finally "splurged" on myself and bought a set of dotting tools and some plastic nail rings so when I have my clients I can give them an idea of what I can do. My aunt has told me the colours and patterns she likes and I want to have a few samples to show her before I do her nails for Dominican this month :-)
